Make a Wish

I *did* manage to finish this card. It's quite small for the amount of work that went into it. I used to think that colouring took a while, until I tried paper piecing. And this is only HALF paper pieced! Her hair and her face I coloured with my Copics and yet it seemed to take forever. I used Princess Anya from The Greeting Farm and the dragon from the Lawn Fawn set Critters Ever After. I made this card with the Christy Thomilson paper from Pink Paislee which, in all honesty, looked better online and I was disappointed with once it arrived. I've only got four sheets though, so that's good, and hopefully I can just slap a few cards like this together and use it up quick. Ah well, take a chance, that's what you get!

    1. Sirius has a bell as well. The worst part though is the cat has a bell so you don't know which you're hearing until you see them. But without it his pitch black nature meant we'd lose him outside when he had to potty and under things as well! Thanks for the kind comments, Holly!

  3. See, this is why on the rare occasion I buy patterned papers these days it's always in person. Usually when I can make it to the large craft show in London twice a year. Just been disappointed to many times. There's only one I think I would buy online if I could find it cheap enough again, that's the DCWV Once Upon A Time stack. Love that paper and am nearly through my stack now, but it's lasted me years - am so miserly with it :D

Your babies are so gorgeous. What a dfference in size :P

  9. I don't yet "do" Copics, so I'm in awe of the beautiful coloring of the girl's hair in that image -- it really looks like the way light would hit it. Happy WOYWW (incredibly late) from #183

    1. Hi there, Lynda. I used to use Copic XPress It Blending Card, and that's a great paper, but lately my printer ink and Copics are playing better with this stuff. http://store.scrapbook.com/bb-303716.html. I was finding that no matter what I set it at the XPress It paper was smudging the printer ink across the faces of my images, but this paper is working quite well. Hope that helps!
