I colour in the living room by my computer
when Mike is asleep because my craft closet is in our bedroom. But being
on the floor, as I have been, is too much for my body. Being disabled
you really shouldn't have to get up off the floor all the
time. Mom said it was time for a change. This is what I'm working with
now. My keyboard is in my lap for typing, hopefully keeping a more
natural position for my wrists. I'm also going to focus on sitting up
straight and keeping my shoulders squared. Hopefully, once my body gets
used to sitting up all the time I'll stop being in so much pain and
won't be causing long-term damage to my bones.
I hope this new set up works out for me, and that you liked the first peek of the new year. I've also re-vamped my scrap space which you can see here: My Scrap Closet. Can't wait to see what you're up to! Thanks for the visit. ;)

Crossing my fingers the new set up will work for you!! I loved having a peak in your scrap area, great organizing!!
ReplyDeleteCor Kelly, I hope it works for you too - I'm totally with your Mum baout being on the floor. Im not disabled and working on the floor is soooo uncomfortable, you can't possibly go on with that. Hope the keyboard thing works out well. If it doesn't...give it up and just do colouring!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck on the set up and on working towards pain management.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to have a "late-night" coloring spot!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a collection of Copics you have there! Hope the new set up works for you.

Ooh yes do take care, I'm disabled too, and position is so important. I am really lucky that I have a special chair that was made for me, that allows me to sit comfortable for a little while longer than I normally would be able. Loving the pens and I love colouring too! Take care. Zo xx 43
ReplyDeleteHope your new set up helps :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that must be more comfortable than the floor!! Happy crafting Cindy WOYWW #54
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at all those markers! I peeped at a few other posts. Your coloring is beautiful! This would be the next thing I would like to learn how to do!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that I need a reclinner in my craft room! Then as I read about sitting up straighter, I realized I was all slumped over, so I did as you suggested. Bad habits! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very comfy space! Enjoy! I spied your crafty closet and it is just fabulous! Great way to make the most of what you got!

That chair sure looks comfy and at least your colors are portable for times when Mike is asleep.#108
