My Photo
I'm 29 years old. I've been married to Michael Reitmeyer for 9 years and I'm incredibly grateful for that; he takes excellent care of me and allows me to be a stay-at-home-wife. I'm mom to Gambit Lebeau Reitmeyer (9) our brown tabby cat, Viggo Sanders Reitmeyer (6) our purebred Golden, and Sirius Lupin Reitmeyer (-1 year) our black purebred Pomeranian. I have Cystic Fibrosis, Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, and Osteoarthritis and as much as I try not to let that define me, it does. It's not something I can forget easily and it affects every part of my life. I just have to deal with that. I'm a housewife, a writer, and a crafter. My passion is writing LGBT romance novels. When I'm not writing I'm either colouring or scrapbooking. Sometimes both! My scrap closet is my happy place, although I wish it were bigger. I'm not too terribly interesting, but I talk a lot to make up for it. I'm sarcastic, I'm snarky, I'm honest to a fault, I always speak my mind, I swear, and I'm a childish brat sometimes, but if you can handle that and get to know me, I'm pretty fun to be around.

WOYWW 188

I colour in the living room by my computer when Mike is asleep because my craft closet is in our bedroom. But being on the floor, as I have been, is too much for my body. Being disabled you really shouldn't have to get up off the floor all the time. Mom said it was time for a change. This is what I'm working with now. My keyboard is in my lap for typing, hopefully keeping a more natural position for my wrists. I'm also going to focus on sitting up straight and keeping my shoulders squared. Hopefully, once my body gets used to sitting up all the time I'll stop being in so much pain and won't be causing long-term damage to my bones.

I hope this new set up works out for me, and that you liked the first peek of the new year. I've also re-vamped my scrap space which you can see here: My Scrap Closet. Can't wait to see what you're up to! Thanks for the visit. ;)

  2. Cor Kelly, I hope it works for you too - I'm totally with your Mum baout being on the floor. Im not disabled and working on the floor is soooo uncomfortable, you can't possibly go on with that. Hope the keyboard thing works out well. If it doesn't...give it up and just do colouring!

  8. Ooh yes do take care, I'm disabled too, and position is so important. I am really lucky that I have a special chair that was made for me, that allows me to sit comfortable for a little while longer than I normally would be able. Loving the pens and I love colouring too! Take care. Zo xx 43

  11. I was thinking that I need a reclinner in my craft room! Then as I read about sitting up straighter, I realized I was all slumped over, so I did as you suggested. Bad habits! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
